Music Ministry
If you enjoy Christian music, then you'll love DeWayne Howard.
DeWayne grew up spending lots of time with his grandparents, who loved Southern Gospel Music. He was introduced to lots of the mainline quartets and other artists as a teenager when he became close friends with the Rev. J. Bazzel Mull "Preacher Mull" and Lady Mull who promoted concerts around Eastern and Middle Tennessee. The Mulls also produced a Sunday morning program that aired each week called, The Mull's Singing Convention. DeWayne sang on the program many times with his youth choir from Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Kingston, TN.
As DeWayne grew up, he sang solos, in youth choirs, church choirs, and later with his own family group, "The Howards." The Howards traveled the country full time singing and sharing the gospel. The Howards became known for their song, "We Shall Rise" that was released to radio as a single and climbed up in the top 40 on the Singing News charts.
DeWayne has just recorded his first "Southern Gospel" solo project and it is due to be released in April 2018. He is excited about this new project that contains some old songs and some new ones too. Several songs on the project were written by DeWayne and he is looking forward to sharing them with audiences everywhere.
DeWayne is available for concerts, mini-concerts, special events, revivals, crusades, preacher fellowships, associational meetings, senior adult luncheons, etc. Contact us today to schedule him to come sing at your next service or event.
